Why re-Scanners?
Confocal NL’s patented point and line re-scan technology offers significant advantages in confocal microscopy. The original point re-scanner, and state of the art GAIA, generate super-resolved images in deeper samples with low phototoxicity.
The AION and NL5+ line re-scanning systems leverage the technology to offer high speed sectioning with a wide range of wavelengths. The approach is well-suited to live-cell imaging of thicker samples. The re-scan mechanism improves signal-to-noise ratio without compromising image quality, enabling detailed visualization of live and fixed samples. Its compact, modular design allows easy integration into existing widefield microscopes, providing an affordable upgrade path to confocal capabilities. Additionally, reduced photobleaching and phototoxicity make it ideal for live-cell imaging. Overall, this technology offers flexible, efficient, and powerful imaging for a wide range of biomedical research applications.
